With over 40 years international experience in key roles in China, Australia, Turkey, Germany, UK, Kyrgyzstan and India, John is a well- recognised leader in developing key relationships and consistently delivering innovative, "world first" metallurgical projects. He currently serves in the unique position as the Chairman's Senior Advisor of China Nonferrous Metal Industry's Foreign Engineering and Construction Co.Ltd, supporting NFC's growth in all aspects of the international non-ferrous and construction industry. John is also a Director of the Clean Gold Group of Companies commercialising breakthrough, patented, non-toxic gold processing technologies.Preceding this, he was Outotec’s President in China - a key position he held for 3½ years. In this diverse role, he led the establishment of numerous innovative collaboration agreements and relationships with Chinese industry ( ferrous, non- ferrous, precious metals, locally and abroad), design institutes , universities, national industry and environmental bodies at the most senior level. A core component of these activities was the provision of specialist process technologies for the ferrous, non ferrous and environmental industries ( Sludge incineration, WtE and e-waste) across China.Previous to this, he served as Managing Director and CEO of listed companies, including exploration, development of major resource assets, corporate marketing and funding through to the Project Management of many significant innovative metallurgical process plants (EPC and LSTK) with a value of $4+billion. This included a Consortium Project Director role in Turkey's first privately owned Cu/Zn resource development and global scale exploration programs with international contractors for Uranium and Gold assets in Kyrgyzstan. His collaborative management style of large multinational and multidisciplinary teams has consistently delivered the successful completion of many first-of their kind Projects and growth for ASX-listed companies. As a leader with in-depth China experience and global connections, John provides strategic advisory expertise to diverse Resource Companies for the development, technology selection and successful delivery of Green and Brownfield Projects globally for a wide range of commodities.John is an engineering graduate from Curtin University, a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers Australia, a Chartered Professional Engineer (Chemical), APEC Engineer IntPE(Aus) and a Member of the Australasian Institute of Mining & Metallurgy.
