Responsible for managing the day to day operations of the computer systems support for the hardware and software to the end users. Update desktops and laptops for Windows XP, Office XP/2003, anti-virus, anti-spam, and anti-spyware. Administer and program the Avaya digital phone and voicemail systems, as well as the PRI line (telephone) for the phone system and the T1 (data) lines for internet and MPLS for our connection to the corporate office. Manage, maintain, install and upgrade Microsoft applications like Office and Navision locally and through Citrix. Provide support for both PC's and Mac’s for both Outlook and Entourage or through Outlook Web Access when employees are out of the office. Remotely administer two remote locations to company systems and network. Creation, testing, and certification of new shipping labels in Navision for EDI customers are added or changes are made by the customer EDI requirements, troubleshoot shipping station errorsEnsure that our day-end, month-end, year-end procedures run properly to ensure that our forecasting and requirements planning software is updated and accurate. Manage remote access with VPN tunnels using Sonicwall firewalls between remote locations and to the corporate office. Previous to the Company’s Navision implementation, worked on Epicor Systems’ ERP program Manage-2000 setting up users, permissions, printers, menus, and creating reports.

Assisted in installation, upgrades and repairs of computer systems. Installed and upgraded Oracle database for the manufacturing and accounting systems. Maintained the Oracle database and continue researching on improving performance of the Oracle database. Retrieve and translate EDI data into manufacturing program. Created an Excel database for cost of billed materials. Created and maintained reports in Excel for the Board of Directors, CEO, Controller, and Plant Manager. Applied accounts receivable checks and discounts to customer accounts, collected money due from past due accounts and created journal entries for month-end and year-ends.

Audited deposits for facilities against armored car deposits and bank deposits. Created posting data and journal entries for data on daily basis. Created and maintained a database for the safe keys for the facilities for each of the existing and new stores for the company. Checked out keys to supervisors and verified that all keys were returned and accounted for. Processed payroll for more than 400 facilities. Audited paychecks, calculated and paid garnishments and taxes, and researched then corrected reported errors in payments to the employees.

Assisted in starting the Computer Department for the company. Trained employees in using the PC. Helped write policies and procedures relating to computers and the purchase of hardware and software. Executed day end procedures including back-ups, restores, and mainframe shutdowns using the PICK operating system. Calculated and input timecards for 400+ employees including all deductions and created weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports as well as journal entries.
