I have more than 25 years successful experience spanning the public, private and not-for-profit sectors - more particularly further and higher education, youth and community work, service development and management; financial diversification, continuing organisational development and quality assurance; training, socially responsible partnership-brokering and work programme development. And, I have a great passion for positively impacting people's lives through the work that I do. That's what drives me. In educational terms, I hold a BA (Hons) Degree in Historical Studies, a Masters Degree in the History of Education, an adult education teaching qualification, a Postgraduate Diploma in Youth & Community Work and a Level 5 Management qualification amongst other accreditations. I also hold a Professional Graduate Diploma in Education - this qualifying me to train in the workplace, and teach in secondary, further and higher education settings.I am currently:leading Bolton Deaf Society as Chief Executive Officerbid-writing and working on financial diversification strategy for COASTbid-writing for Stockport Without Abuse and Youth Action, Blackburnsupporting Greater Manchester Coalition of Disabled People working with Cracking Good Food on organisational development, bid/tender/fundraising readiness, community involvement, project development and income generationand, I always welcome freelance opportunities in the research and development, fundraising, project management and training fields.I hold Non-Executive Director positions with Middlebrook Leisure Trust, Waymarking CIC and Cracking Good Food - and, voluntarily, I sit on the Board of Barrow Raiders Rugby League Club. These are busy but very rewarding times in vocational terms.
