I began my 40+ year career in medicine as a Family Practice physician, and still retain that board certification. I also became the Medical Director of an excellent nursing home here in Mississippi 35 years ago, and continue as Medical Director; I enjoy a productive consulting relationship with the board and administrator. Midway through my career I pursued a board certification in Geriatrics, and was a Charter Fellow of the American Geriatrics Society. I continue to practice in geriatric medicine and long-term care today. In the last 15 years I achieved a board certification in Sleep Medicine and am the Medical Director of a local sleep center. I gain much satisfaction in seeing people's overall health and well-being improve through the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders. Because one of my interests is private aviation, I have practiced a good deal of aviation medicine, and am one of the few physicians in North Mississippi to offer flight physicals in Class 1, 2, and 3. Finally, acting as medical director of various entities, along with my work as medical consultant on various boards, is deeply satisfying for me.
