There are not a lot of lawyers who are uncomfortable doing what is necessary to present a persuasive argument to a jury on behalf of their client. Too many things are unpredictable for some people who became lawyers because they thought it would help make things more predictable. My 39 years as a trial lawyer has been an amazing collection of cases involving everything from allegedly defective industrial equipment to allegedly negligent conduct in the construction of a nuclear power plant.
