Senior Staff Process And Product Development ManagementApx International Div Tad Industries Jan 1992 - Mar 1997The primary product produced by APX International was the OEM Tier 1 supply of the Dodge Viper Sport Car body panels. All of which were produced in (RTM) resin transfer molding process. My role was to the lead the process methods and tooling development which were used to produce the body panels sets on a daily production basis. While the Viper was a very successful contribution to the use of the RTM process for extremely high quality "Class A" body panel assemblies, today we have far more tools in our "toolbox" of process methods and tooling designs.

Co-Founder / Vice PresidentTechnical Innovations, Inc. Feb 1982 - Mar 1990Technical Innovations was founded by Ed Vollenweider former Rechhold Polymer Chemist and John H. Moore with extensive equipment knowledge together they manufactured custom Chopper and Gel Coat Equipment. From the mid-1980's we were a Venus Products distributor offering the full Venus line of Chopper, Gel Coat and RTM Injection Systems. Aside from the equipment supply, we produced compounded Resins and Paints for specific applications. One of the outstanding accomplishments was in the supply of the RTM Equipment used by American Sunroof for the production of the OEM Tier 1 supply of the 1983 model Corvette Hardtop. This total system was known at the time to be the "state of the art" in low-pressure composite molding using the RTM process. The Corvette Hardtop was product ahead of its time with a full pre-molded closed-cell urethane foam core then wrapped in dry fiberglass reinforcement to be molded into a Class A final finish RTM composite.Technical Innovations was the supplier of choice for each new Sea Ray Boat plant with the design and supply of all resin bulk storage tanks, Custom 2 Pot Chopper Guns, Ceiling Mounted Booms and related Gel Coat Spray Systems. Technical Innovations was often called upon for composite molding process consulting audits for improvement recommendations.
