I have been honoured with a Directorship of the Hope Institute and my primary roll is to seek support of a philanthropic nature for the institute and to promote it as an opportunity for engagement by various learning organisations. These organisations can visit the institute to further the education of their students whilst enhancing the learning experience of the students who are currently attending the institute. Other options are to encourage international learning institutions to send their under and post graduate students, in various health related fields, to carry out internships in the Health facility that is also part of the Hope Institute.

Morag and I have been engaged by various cruise lines to present on our life experiences whilst working as a Patrol Officer in Papua New Guinea and Morag has presented on the life of a wife of a Patrol Officer. More then happy to expand our connections and be engaged by other corporations especially those in the travel industry. We have developed over 12 different presentations on "Our Road Less Traveled" and made 9 of these between Brisbane and Osaka with Cunard and P&O Cruises and between Fiji and Rabaul (PNG). Recently made 7 different presentation on the Pacific Dawn on a 10 day cruise to PNG.

Made contributions to the Foundation from the time my wife Morag started as Development Director.

The City of Brisbane Act 2010 (CoBA) sets out the way to deal with complaints about the conduct and performance of Councillors to ensure appropriate standards are maintained and a Councillor who engages in misconduct is disciplined.I was asked to continue but thought it unfair on others due to my extensive travelling. Weill reconsider if and when Morag and I slow down!!

As a Patrol Officer I had resonsibility for all forms of government administration from Law enforcement to magisterial role and jailor upon comviction. The role of Local Government Advisor was most important as this covered all aspects from road, bridge and airstrip construction to business development and building of aid posts and schools.On the general administration side of things this covered Agricultural and Heath extension services advising on coffee and chilli plantations to personal hygiene and immunisation practices.I also was the Commonwealth bank manager, treasury official and radio schedule operator.You name it I did it.Officiated at the Independence Day celebrations on 16th september 1975.
