Director, Public & Media Affairs
Washington D.C.
As part of my role, I've successfully secured media coverage by proactively pitching the increased sustainability efforts, safety programs, and economic benefits of our member companies' cement production. Recognizing the potential for negative publicity surrounding greenhouse gas emissions, I strategically positioned our initiatives as a proactive response to these concerns, garnering positive attention and recognition for our industry's efforts.Additionally, I've played a key role in crafting succinct speeches for our Board of Directors members to deliver during PCA event ceremonies. By distilling complex topics into clear and compelling messaging, I've helped our leadership effectively communicate our organization's mission and priorities to diverse audiences. In support of our advocacy efforts, I've also been responsible for generating daily content for our social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn. By staying abreast of industry developments and important issues, I've curated engaging content that fosters dialogue, educates our audience, and amplifies PCA's voice on critical issues.Key Accomplishments:Directed Bracewell in promoting MIT Concrete Sustainability Hub's research, partially funded by PCA, ensuring strategic separation to generate media interest for studies backing policy solutions at local and state levels.Facilitated meetings between PCA CEO and transportation reporters from The Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, Politico, and Bloomberg to amplify awareness of PCA's stances on issues and establish organization as expert resource for future reporting.
