At Cisco, I managed development teams of up to 160 people, architected, designed, developed, & documented major projects and cross-Business Unit initiatives. I served on various budget, intellectual property, and project review boards within the company, and represented the company at various standards bodies.- I rebuilt the Infrastructure Group, which included the Embedded Management, Infrastructure Test, OS, and Tools groups for Cisco's Internet Operating System (IOS), which at the time was the second largest code base outside Microsoft's Windows- Led several major initiatives in device and system management and code stability, winning Cisco’s Pioneer Award for outstanding new technology with our High Availability project that created increased system reliability and a new revenue stream- My teams consistently provided the lowest bug counts for major IOS components along with high customer satisfaction scores- Directed the architecture and development of the IOS Programmatic Interface using XML and feature enhancements to the CLI Parser infrastructure such as Rollback, Config Diff, and Parser Return Codes- Led a cross-BU and Partner team to create an architecture and prototype for dynamic device web-service agents as part of Cisco’s Intelligent Networks Initiative- Built one of the IOS Technology Division's first development teams in Cisco India- Created the IOS Baseline for Cisco’s Consistent Network Element Manageability initiative- Led the team to design and implement the initial version of Cisco's Enhanced Embedded Network Management which became part of Cisco’s high-end IOS-XR systems
