Daily responsibilities included brand strategy, new business development, prioritization & project management, and design rationale. Creator and presenter of new strategic branding initiatives for customer accounts. Examples included strategic rebranding suggestions for a retailer’s Beauty and Personal Care line, a brand positioning paper for a brand of all natural products, and a competitive analysis for a grocery retailer which wanted to understand best-in-class private brand practices. Manager of Daymon Design’s European businesses with Rimi Baltic (the largest grocery retailer in the Baltics) and ICA Norway. Achievements included creating a go-to-market strategic plan for retailers who are inexperienced with private brands; strategy development for visual identities of 25 new brands; overseeing the creation of packaging which includes four languages; and a proposal for the creation of a remote design team to better interpret local customs and needs.

This included oversight of design, prototyping, costing, packaging design, collateral development, product literature, market introduction, sales and customer service training, preparation for manufacturing in Asia, and safety and regulatory requirements for each product. Responsible for the legal defense of Maclaren’s intellectual property and claims of infringement. Negotiator of the settlement of a patent infringement claim, saving Maclaren USA an estimated $225,000.
