• Led discussions and drafting of a new strategic plan as Chair of the Strategic Planning Committee for CSG expanding and clarifying its “trends mission” to help states foresee and respond to future policy challenges.

Member of CSG leadership trip to Mexico led by CSG President Governor Mike Huckabee (R-Arkansas) and CSG Chair Rep. Dan Bosley (D-Massachusetts) to discuss common trade, immigration and education issues with local officials including President Vicente Fox Quezada.

Chaired one of four regional organizations set up under CSG to provide state legislators a forum for working together on common issues of regional importance. Led a successful effort to add three Canadian provincial governments to the MLC as affiliate members.
