I'm an Emmy award-winning broadcast journalist, foreign correspondent, national correspondent, news anchor and producer who has reported extensively throughout the United States, Latin America, the Middle East, Europe, Asia, and Africa. I began my journalism career as newspaper reporter writing and copy editing for the Los Angeles Daily News, before becoming a city and county government reporter for the Times News in Twin Falls, Idaho and the Albuquerque Journal in Santa Fe, New Mexico. In 2004, I made the leap into television starting as a writer, copy editor and associate producer for WNYW-TV Fox 5 News in New York City, before becoming an on-air reporter for WWOR-TV My9 News in Secaucus, New Jersey and later back to WNYW-TV Fox 5 News in New York City. I won an New York Regional Emmy award in 2010 for lead reporting on a Newscast Over 35 minutes and received eight other Emmy nominations. As a foreign correspondent for the Fox News Channel, I provided live, non-stop coverage during the War in Gaza (Operation Protective Edge) in 2014 and live breaking news coverage during other major international events. While in Israel I also worked as a freelance correspondent, news producer, and media consultant writing for English, Hebrew, and Arabic media. I helped develop a broadcast department for a small news agency in Jerusalem. Most recently I served as a senior national correspondent, foreign correspondent, and anchor for T&R Productions (RT America) based in Miami, Florida, covering Latin America and reporting on major news stories and assignments in the United States and internationally. As a guest anchor of the prime-time newscasts, I drove the editorial direction of the shows, including writing the opening monologues, story introductions, pitching topics to producers, and directing the discussion during the news segments. In December 2021, I received a Master of Science in Mass Communication, Global Strategic Communications from Florida International University, 4.0 GPA, in 2021, while working full-time, with a Graduate Certificate in Conflict Resolution, Reputation Management, and Consensus Building. My Capstone Project was a marketing campaign plan for a boutique media consulting agency, Huddy Media Communications, specializing in on-camera interview training, media relations consulting, crisis and reputation management.
