Primary responsibilities included troubleshooting, repairing and certifying the Navy's AN/SPN-42A Automatic Carrier Landing System. Additional duties included performing inspections and overhauls, developing and installing test fixtures and field changes and providing technical assistance aboard aircraft carriers and at Naval Air Stations.

Management responsibilities included instructing and supervising personnel in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing on-site radar and communications systems including AN/FPN-36, AN/UPX-27, AN/UPA-59A, AN/FRA-11, AN/GRT-21/22 and AN/GRR-23/24. Administrative duties included setting up and implementing periodic maintenance schedules and training.
