He also was awarded the CCA/RCA Outstanding Carrier Member Award in 2008 and again in 2012 for his efforts and support of the wireless industry and his communities. Additionally, Johnson served on The CTIA Board of Directors for over 6 years and The Wireless Foundation Board of Directors for 3 years. Johnson is active in lobbying efforts for the Wireless Industry and testified before Congress on matters concerning Universal Service Funding for Rural America. Johnson is very active in his communities and participates in numerous organizations including: President of the Boys and Girls Club of America, board member for the National Kidney Foundation, Rotary Club of America, Optimist Club and Big Brother Big Sister Organization. At the Big Brother Big Sister organization, Johnson holds individual state and national records for the highest amount dollars raised during the annual Bowl for Kids’ Sake Event. Johnson also served on the Advisory Board for Commerce Bank.
