Developing the Sustainable Tourism Explorer to a minimum viable product, part of a new product from the Tourism Evidence & Insights team, visualising the environmental, social and economic sustainability of tourism industry practices. With MBIE as the lead agency, other government agencies have signed up to share their data in order to provide the full picture of tourism sustainability. amCharts, a JavaScript library, is used to visualise data, after R is used to wrangle data and Jekyll to compile webpages from defined HTML/CSS templates.

Tutored Engineering Technology (March to June 2020): introducing first-year students to C++, music creation, image detection and robotics. Delivered labs for around 30 students at one time, and provided detailed, constructive feedback. Involved in transition to work-from-home, taking responsibility for documentation and live support for Mac users, a substantial portion of university students. Used initiative in delivering tutorials on Git and GitHub (supplementary to course material) to support WFH.Tutored Engineering Design (July to October 2020): delivered labs for around 30 students at one time and provided detailed, constructive feedback on assignments. Labs and assignments taught software development models (neural networks and finite state machines) and sustainability (solar panels and efficiency).
