Responsible for engagement planning and executing all elements of Internal Audit’s Risk Assessment/Asset Protection strategy (COSO). Focus included evaluating and making recommendations to strengthen internal controls within significant business processes.

Financial control and reporting of national compensation plans and commissions for entire 200+ member sales force. Provided Regional Vice Presidents with financial information and analysis to support sales efforts. Aided in the development of annual revenue and expense budget and ongoing variance analysis to assist management in meeting sales goals and forecasts. Upgraded an obsolete reporting system and added efficiency to the position. Worked with senior management and external auditors on ad hoc projects.

Worked closely with Corporate, Regional and District Managers in maintaining general ledger accounts, maintenance of monthly journals, computerized general ledger system, reconciliation of accounts, including bank accounts, internal audits at several facilities, completing month-end close and preparation of tax returns. Coding of invoices, processing of payments, control of the purchase order system and audits of internal controls.
