John has in excess of 30 years’ experience in general and human resource management, both as the leader of teams in different businesses and countries, and more recently as a consultant. During his 20 years with ICI and Orica, John headed the Corporate Advisory Group (Australia) and the HR functions in Asia Pacific (Singapore), Specialty Chemicals (Manchester) and for the parent company ICI plc in London. John is a past Chairman of the Policy Committees of both the Orica (Flexible Benefits) and Dulux Superannuation Funds.In his consulting role he has worked with boards and senior executives in several industries including, retail property, mining and resources, health insurance, steel making, airlines and rail transportation.Specialties: Organization design, succession planning, leadership assessment, identification of development needs and how best to deliver, mentoring, outplacement and career transition.In recent years a major professional focus has been on mentoring those in leadership roles, whilst devoting time to exploring and documenting those areas of interest that have taken a back seat for much of his professional career.
