Manage staffing, emergency operations, and incident response. I am coordinate the function of the Emergency Operations Center, Facilities, and Wildand Fire Program for the Sedona Fire District.  Managed facilities program for entire district and implemented an equipment replacement program that paid for over $600,000 in equipment replacement through improved efficiency. Oversea wildland fire program for Sedona Fire. Program responsibilities include preseason preparedness, budget, and providing expert advice to Fire Chief in items relating to wildland fire and ensuring appropriate staffing for incident responses both on and off district. Provide guidance, leadership and mentoring opportunities for 4 station, 23 person Battalion on scene, during training, and at the station. Developed and oversaw FireWise Communities program for the Sedona Fire District. This included having numerous articles published showcasing our efforts. Successfully applied for grants to begin an annual fuels reduction program for the residents of the Sedona Fire District. Program has taken place every year since 2002. Created a culture of learning which encouraged subordinates to adapt planned practices to an unknown set of circumstances and execute effectively. Provided for the needs of the public and the safety of my crew in a complex environment. Disciplines practiced include high angle rescue, swiftwater rescue, structural firefighting, wildland firefighting and emergency medicine.

As a member of a National Type 1 Incident Management Team we respond to natural and manmade disasters to assist in the management of incidents outside the capability of local resources. Incidents I have responded to include Hurricanes, Wildland Fire and manmade disasters. Assist in the preparation of strategic action plans and provide for the overall tactical operation and management of field activities as defined by Incident Action Plan and in support of host unit objectives. Augment local response capacity and assist affected agencies in dealing with incidents beyond their capability to manage independently on over 30 incidents across the nation Reduce an incidents impact to private property and critical improvements through cooperation, planning, and effective implementation of tactical efforts which align with broader strategic objectives. Ensure operational personnel assigned to the incident are afforded a safe work environment, are provided clear leaders intent, and understand how their efforts affect the overall success of the mission. Mentor qualified subordinates to ensure effective progression planning.

Coordinate activities to identify values at risk and protect them from wildland fire and other hazards in support of overall incident objectives.
