Efficient oversight of the daily operations of the College of Applied Technologies with the assistance of the Associate Deans and Evening Supervisor. Handle faculty and student concerns with a concentration on smooth and efficient operation of the College of Applied Technologies in coordination with other departments to enable the College of Applied Technologies to fulfill its primary goal of educating students with professional faculty.

Currently serve as Associate Dean in the College of Applied Technologies at the University of Northwestern Ohio. Duties include program assessment and review, assisting with the organizing of open house and update seminar, faculty credential management (ASE certifications), faculty and staff supervision, organizing faculty training workshops, assist with university accreditation practices, and assisting the Academic Deans to name a few. Work with and provide support to university departments to improve the overall student experience. At this time, I still teach inside the classroom on a part-time basis.

Duties also include instruction within the General Education department. Classes taught include Customer Relations Automated Management and Review Math. Designed the curriculum for Customer Relations Automated Management and First Year Experience courses. Designed a previous version of Digital Documents and Spreadsheets. Main course taught is Customer Relations Automated Management which is basically a course covering automotive management. Subjects taught include discounting, markup percentages, repair order generation, QuickBooks, paper flow analysis, customer relations, inventory management, breakeven analysis, and payroll. There is a heavy emphasis on using Microsoft Word and Excel in daily shop operations. The course also instructs robotics and HVAC students in customer relations inside of their disciplines.I have extensive experience in Moodle, our former learning management system (LMS). I have routinely integrated tests and homework assignments into courses for ease of use by students and staff. Transition to a new LMS, Canvas, has expanded my knowledge and experience in learning management systems. Experience includes creating tests and quizzes, rubrics, homework assessments, embedding documents, linking url's, uploading files, and organizing content.

Provide quality education in area of influence. Participate and/or chair committees to promote institutional effectiveness. Conduct meetings to assist Deans and Associate Deans in proper direction of the department and work together to solve potential problems and promote change. Duties include:Schedule faculty teaching loads, oversee and screen staffing needs, review curriculum, serve in assessment and retention efforts, mentor and oversee faculty, program review, oversee annual department budget, and facilitate department meetings.

Worked as manager of our family business with my father and two brothers. I was responsible for a large number of things. The experience I gained has enabled me to move on to other ventures and has given me the confidence that I can do whatever is needed to get the job done. I have a philosophy that an organization wins with people. If you treat your people right, they will be productive employees. Leaders come along side their subordinates and lead them toward success. There is nothing wrong with everybody winning in business. If the customer and employees win, the business will win. It all about team work!
