Sichem is part of the Mazrui Holdings Group, a privately-owned, Abu Dhabi based conglomerate.I had full P&L responsibility for all operational, commercial and technical activity and managed a team of over 60 staff. During my time with Sichem I oversaw a rise in sales of over 30%, and a much more significant increase in profitability, bringing EBIT to above average levels for the speciality chemical industry. This was coupled with improvements in working capital utilisation, and results showed above target ROI and EVA.I developed long term strategic growth and investment plans for expansion of the product range, entry into new market segments and development of a brand new site incorporating production, warehouse, offices and laboratory.I developed a new brand identity for Sichem, including the launch of a new website and product literature.
