Being a founder and all, of several successful businesses, John has been described by some as an "entrepreneur" and "potentially unemployable in a conventional job" by others. That's why he is a crazed supporter of entrepreneurs, startups, and basically anyone who is an innovative thinker. As a board member, he helped Valley Venture Mentors get its feet on the ground and start running fast, has served as a judge and mentor for global accelerator MassChallenge and a mentor for the London-based fintech accelerator Startupbootcamp.org.Of course, John could not do all this making a dent stuff alone. He is assisted, supported and made fun of by Mary Shea, James Garvey, Darcy Young, and on very special occasions, Quinn Fiona Garvey.
