John J. Hanley is a Managing Director in the Denver office of the J.P. Morgan Private Bank where he leads the Closely Held Business team and provides wealth management solutions to entrepreneurs, c-suite executives and endowments and foundations.Early in his career, John spent more than twenty years with George K. Baum & Company, a nationally-ranked municipal bond firm. At Baum, John acquired a deep understanding of the fixed income industry and rose through the company ranks to lead the sales, trading and underwriting operation. John was recruited to Marsico Capital Management as an equity partner and worked with the firm’s equity clients and as a fixed income portfolio manager. John has lived in Denver for over 30 years and is active in the community. He served as the Board Chair of the Denver Employees Retirement Plan, the City and County of Denver’s public pension plan, and Vice Chairman of the Colorado Golf Foundation. John currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Metro Denver Economic Development Corp. and on the boards of the Denver Scholarship Foundation and the Western Golf Association.
