I am a senior legal corporate executive and have spent my career working for public and private-equity owned, growth-oriented companies and at leading law firms. I have broad-based legal and complex project management skill sets, including deep experience in securities law (public offerings, IPOs and private placements), mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance/compliance, intellectual property portfolio management, litigation management and information security and privacy law. As Chief Legal Officer / General Counsel, I operate as a cross-functional executive leader and join companies to manage and guide them through times of change, including rapid growth, pre-IPO, company sale, serial acquisitions, integrations, restructurings and reorganizations. I am passionate about contributing to the growth and success of my organization and colleagues. One of the ways I do this is by identifying innovative tactics to partner with colleagues to facilitate business, such as streamlining commercial contracting processes, rationalizing IP strategy and practices, teaming up with non-legal peers to overhaul processes and procedures, and implementing Legal Department metrics and KPIs. Also, as an “operating GC” I frequently take on non-Legal responsibilities such as Corporate Development, Human Resources and Information Security.My career has had a significant international focus. I have primarily been employed by multinational organizations, lived and worked outside of the United States for nearly 4 years and have a history of managing personnel and corporate transactions around the world. In 2012, I received an MBA from the TRIUM Global Executive MBA program, a joint degree awarded by the London School of Economics and Political Science, NYU Stern School of Business and HEC Paris.
