Brought in to analyze portfolio of tools and code maintained by a data services team based in Lincoln Square, and to make recommendations for improvement, consolidation, and elimination; quickly came up to speed and was asked to help write and edit SQL code to fix the many issues the team was experiencing; became known as the go-to guy whenever there was an issue others were having trouble fixing, and/or fixing quickly; lead analysis of MSSALES rollover project in preparation for integration with our team’s datasets; lead the Offline MSSALES project, and brought project in on time and with high quality; helped lead the DISCO project, which was the largest project the team was engaged in at the time, utilizing many scheduled jobs, SSIS, SSAS, Excel pivots to large cubes, and SharePoint; lead weekly and many ad-hoc meetings with high efficiency and effectiveness; ultimately was successful in helping the team to bring the project in on time and with high quality; received many kudos from customers and management on the success of this project.

Developed and maintained reporting solutions based upon a large number of data sources; produced new reports, and improved existing reports, mostly based in Excel; developed and maintained SQL code base, including many complex stored procedures; maintained server and jobs for reporting team; after just two months, took over most reporting duties from FTE when they were assigned to a critical project; trained, assigned workload, and oversaw another contingent Reporting Analyst; led the Global CS Reporting Team for nine months, including engaging with stakeholders on reporting strategy and design, metric definition, tool and data quality issues, and improvement in the business processes utilized within Global CS.
