John J. Ricci was General Counsel of Conlon & Co. and its affiliated companies: Conlon Capital, Conlon Asset Management, Conlon Commercial, and Conlon & Co.—a Real Estate Merchant Bank. He was responsible for all of the companies’ legal functions and strategic business development initiatives worldwide (US/UK/EU), including leading real estate and investment acquisitions, developments, residential and commercial leasing, strategic partnerships, construction, JVs, etc.; managing fund pipelines—lending and capital raises; overseeing asset management; controlling M&A negotiations and closings; reviewing, negotiating, and managing corporate contracts (all phases/all relationships); handling litigation (directing outside counsel or managing internally); and driving entertainment (CNBC’s “The Deed,” underlying contracts, monetizing ventures, press, speaking circuits, etc.) and professional relationships.Representative Matters include managing portfolios of investment assets—acquisition, development, and sales of businesses and properties; solidifying joint venture and strategic partnerships involving investment vehicles, platforms, start-up ventures, etc.; negotiating corporate and contractual matters involving Compass, Ross, T-Mobile, Aldi, Aspen Dental, Christie’s International, Discount Tire, Taco Bell, Inland, MetCap, CA Ventures, etc.Mr. Ricci attended law school at DePaul and Northwestern Universities in Chicago. After his Federal Clerkship, he was associated with McGuireWoods LLP as corporate litigation counsel. After his tenure, Mr. Ricci went into private practice in New York and Illinois.
