John K. Addis has enjoyed consistent local and national attention throughout his design career. While studying Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University in the mid-1990s, he helped university departments publish to the “web” for the first time. At Michigan State University, he designed and developed over two dozen online courses and programs, winning national acclaim for the school, and becoming the first designer ever promoted to Producer while still a student. In the past decade, Addis has continued developing high-end web, print and video projects for businesses, organizations, governments and colleges. His work has been discussed and highlighted in local and national press, including CBS News, CNN's Lou Dobbs, The Atlantic, The New York Times, and The Tonight Show. In addition to twenty local Addy awards, including multiple gold awards and Best in Show, Addis' designs have won first-place national awards, such as a Gold Pollie Award from the AAPC, a first place Reed Award from Politics Magazine, and additional national finalists.
