Dr. Kane is a diversified scholar and author with over 15 years of online learning, higher education administration and college level instruction experience. He enjoys being challenged, and is devoted to the high quality standards of an university/organization. He is well versed in course development, distance/hybrid learning, and scholarly research. A substantial portion of his work at the graduate level involved teaching various business, communication, leadership, media, and visual arts topics. In 2014 he completed his Doctor of Arts (DA) degree at Franklin Pierce University. His dissertation––The Last Seat in the House: The Story of Hanley Sound––is an extensive, and encyclopedic, oral history on the early developments of live concert sound reinforcement which is now published with the University Press of Mississippi (2020). His other work––Pilgrims of Woodstock––was released in August of 2019 with Indiana University Press. Currently, John is a part-time media, communications and design faculty member at the New Hampshire Institute of Art. And also part-time business, visual art, and communication faculty at Great Bay Community College. John is also the host and creator of the very popular global podcast ––Two Guys Talking Rush.
