Helping my mom recover from a heart attack years ago opened my eyes to how truly disconnected and fragmented our health care system is. Even after years of working in the health care industry, I still felt frustrated. There was no advocate to coordinate care for her – we didn’t know what to do, or the kind of specialists and medications she needed during her recovery. I realized there's got to be a better way for my mom and for all the moms and dads out there.That personal experience led me to my calling – to help seniors get the kind of care and support they need and deserve. That’s why we founded Alignment Health. Today, we are aiming to set a new, innovative standard in health care delivery, shifting the focus of health care from payments to people.
