Throughout my career I have prided myself on the ability to lead, manage, develop and motivate people to do and be their best. I am successful in doing so by following two principles; asking questions and listening. Combined with research and analytical work, I am able to take a collaborative approach to problem solving and improving processes. I always seek to learn from successes and failures and use those to coach and teach others.As a business owner my leadership skills were put to the test daily. An example is when an existing customer asked us to provide service, in Florida, for franchisee they had purchased.I asked the customer to give us 30-days to review the market and determine if Florida was the right expansion for us. During the review we looked at potential customers, locations to be serviced, locations for our crew(s), losses we would run as we built up the market and finally the competition in the market. In addition, I explored expanding an agreement we had with a large hospitality buying group.At the end of the 30-days I decided this was an opportunity we could not pass up. There was an upside to growth and with a negotiated 20% premium in the cost of the service to the customer, for a period of one-year, we could the handle cost of expanding. Through empowering our service technicians to sell, strategic sales blitzes and strategic planning, we added another 114 locations in the first year and were breakeven. We grew the Florida market grew from zero dollars to over 3 million dollars in two and a half years.My goal is to bring that same leadership and entrepreneurial drive to your business.
