• Established PSIDA joint venture with Drilling Applications, South Africa.• Developed 4DGeoStress software which quantifies stress and estimates pore pressure in 4D from reflection seismic, pre-drill for fault seal, pore pressure and fracking prediction and analysis (2003-2012).• Provisional Patent Application 2008901477 “Prospect Stress Prediction” (software). (27 March, 2008)• Patent “Method for Detecting Direction and Relative Magnitude of Maximum Horizontal Stress in Earth’s Crust”. Registered in seven countries (25 May, 2000).• Conducted thirty, four day field-based structural geology/stress courses, in-house and industry wide in Southwest United Kingdom. The theory component of the course has been presented seven times in Indonesia and twice in Norway, London, Sydney and Brunei (1983-2010).• Consultant Exploration Manager based in Dubai for a small Australian company. Negotiated an exploration concession in the Arabian Basin, South Yemen. Involved in exploration studies and/or acreage acquisitions in Saudi Arabia, Iran and Oman and redirected exploration on the now 1 billion barrel Rubiales oil field, Colombia. (1988-89).• Managed an exploration group in Hobart which farmed out two wells in the Bass Basin, Tasmania, resulting in theYolla-1 discovery. The field commenced oil and gas production in 2006. (1982-88).• Similarly managed the Hobart-based group which led to an oil discovery in Miocene turbidites in the Taranaki basin, New Zealand. The Maari field is now producing from horizontal wells. (1983).• Project leader responsible for deep-water prospect definition and the management of five wells in 3000-5400 feet of water on Exmouth Plateau which resulted in the Scarborough gas field. (1979-80)• Lead four, three week, field based structural geology courses in Western North America from the Mexican border to the Canadian Rockies for Exxon (1974-75).
