I am a technology enthousiast and the focus of my career has been on the effective application of information/knowledge in engineering, manufacturing and construction domains. I spent ~13 years at the National Research Council of Canada (NRC) doing applied research for both public and private industry clients in the manufacturing and construction sectors. I then started my own consulting company and became deeply involved in transforming the Canadian construction sector using Building Information Modeling (BIM). - Co-developer three BIM Project Planning Toolkits (Institute for BIM in Canada)- Co-editor and contributing author of the 3 volume Canadian Practice Manual for BIM (buildingSMART Canada). I have recently joined the Faculty of Engineering at Western full time and teach first year undergraduate students about what it means to be an engineer and how to apply a systematic design process. I continue to volunteer my time with my regional science fair and selecting the Canadian national team.
