John began his career with Motorists in 1984 and has held numerous leadership positions, including vice president, Chief Information Officer, and current role of senior vice president & Chief Strategy Officer. As a member of the CEO’s executive team, John is responsible for incorporating strategic components necessary to support the achievement of corporate goals, and to create value in new frontiers by effectively managing the ideation & innovation process within the organization. During his tenure, Motorists has received numerous technology and innovation awards such as Applied Net’s Pinnacle Award; CIO 100 Award; and Strategy Meets Action Innovation in Action. John has been active in numerous technology groups and industry organizations, including TechStrategy of Central Ohio, Columbus Insurance Leaders; CIO Solutions Gallery; Insurance CIO Forum; Novarica Insurance Technology Research Council; and most recently served as the chairperson for CIO Tomorrow, central Ohio’s premier event for current and ‘next-gen’ leaders. John has served on various boards of directors for the companies in the group; and currently serves on the board of trustees for Ohio Cancer Research.
