Analysed, evaluated, designed and built cryptographic systems, focusing on FPGAs and quantum cryptography and algorithms.- Drove hardware development in a team of 6 cryptographers and engineers to adapt cryptographic algorithms implemented in Verilog and VHDL on FPGA for internal use-cases.- Evaluated multiple cryptographic systems through design and code reviews and rigorous testing, discovering vulnerabilities and incorrect behaviour.- Developed and applied company's security evaluation methodology for quantum cryptography systems (QKD), focusing on quantum optics hardware and implementation of algorithms.- Developed Wireshark plugins in C and Python scripts to validate cryptographic and network protocol data.- Evaluated gate-based and annealing quantum algorithms for various use cases, via theoretical analysis and Python (Qiskit) and Julia simulations, and visualised simulation data using Matplotlib.- Developed training materials on quantum information and quantum cryptography.

Investigated impact of authentication on QKD key rate, developed an authentication scheme and proved its near-optimality, and evaluated various algorithms using nonconvex optimisation in Julia and MATLAB.

Designed and implemented a custom network protocol for establishing connections through a trusted relay, secured with PQC.Implemented the protocol in C on an ARM microcontroller running FreeRTOS and integrated it with peripherals (QRNG, flash memory), with a successful flight trial.

Studied and experimented with QKD and PQC.- Implemented a NIST PQC algorithm component from scratch in Verilog for FPGA.- Evaluated challenges and proposals for integrating PQC algorithms in existing communication protocols.- Investigated side-channel attacks and countermeasures for PQC hardware implementations.

TA for CG1112 Engineering Principles and Practices II.Guided junior students to complete lab exercises on various areas of embedded systems, and to deepen their understanding of the topics. Module culminated in a project where students have to build a remotely piloted rover and use it to complete navigation and image recognition tasks.
