MN. I was, until January 2009, a Manager with the Project Architecture department of Opus Architects & Engineers, Inc. in Minnetonka, Minnesota. During 2007 and 2008, I held the regional manager position serving as liaison with the Opus Seattle, Portland and Denver offices. In the Fall of 2008, I shifted to a new assignment of "special projects" dealing mostly with institutional clients like Creighton University and Kansas State University. I was elevated to Fellow of the American Institute of Architects in January of 2009. As of a member the national AIA Affordable Housing Task Force in the late 1990's, I was an active participant and contributor. Since that time, I have served as a member of the AIA Housing Committee's Advisory Group and was chair in 2003. I have been a presenter at the four AIA National Conventions.In the Fall of 2003, I was elected to the newly-formed AIA Board Knowledge Committee as one of three Knowledge Community Representatives. Within that group I exhibited leadership and went right to work, producing a presentation for the group’s meeting at the AIA Grassroots Leadership Conference in Washington, DC. In early 2004.Sustainable design practices are a major focus of my professional and personal life. I also serves his local township as chair of the planning commission since 2007.Specialties: Multi-family housing design, institutional design, sustainable design practices.
