Superior Fibers is a manufacturer of fiberglass materials. The company's history runs back to the 1960's and has developed a significant leadership position in three key markets: 1) Residential and commercial HVAC air filtration, 2) Fiberglass reinforcement materials for the composite reinforcement product manufacturing market, and 3) Fiberglass Media for commercial painting applications. The company is owned by private equity and has five manufacturing facilities in the U.S. and Mexico.

Responsible for global financial management, financial reporting, and relationships with outside professionals while leading staff of 16. Locations include U.S., U.K., China, Taiwan and India, with over 1,100 employees. During this period, sales grew 72% while maintaining solid profitability.Played key role preparing the company for a Private Equity transaction, subsequently paused due to global 2008/2009 recession. Quickly adapted to contingency planning, leading and collaborating with executive team to navigate company very successfully and profitably through the recession. When combined with other successes, awarded “CFO of the Year” in Dayton, Ohio, which reflects upon the broader team.Other accomplishments include strengthening of accounting team, raising growth financing (for business acquisition and real estate acquisitions), administrative startups for new entities in UK and India, reorganization of Asian legal entities, negotiating economic development grants, investigating and arranging private aircraft program, and significant enhancements to financial reporting.

Held various progressive positions during 20 year tenure, leading to CFO and ultimately Co-CEO. Helped grow the business from roughly $20M in annual sales to over $90M, with 650 employees in eight U.S. locations. Led and grew the finance and adminstrative team while keeping a lean staff, and led outstanding relationships with banking partners, law firm, CPA firm and other outside professionals. Led 2 complex turnarounds during automotive industry challenges, resulting in stellar improvements to profitability and cash position. Ultimately led the sale of the company, closing four transactions with strategic buyers over a seven year period.
