Experienced leader of Corporate Credit, SME & Sector Specialist Underwriting teams as well as front office sales teams in both growth and distressed asset workout scenarios. Significant through the cycle transaction experience in Leveraged Finance/MBO’s, Venture Debt, ABL's, Clubs & Syndications, Plc’s, large owner managed businesses and specialised sectors including Project Finance, renewables, healthcare (development and acquisition funding), hospitality, commercial real estate (development & investment), social housing and agriculture. Previous role involved leading a team of 10 highly qualified and experienced Credit Directors including 2 RICS qualified Property Surveyors. Personal lending authorities held to £25M with a book under remit of £3.4Bn. Also a member of Credit Committee. This role was regulated under the PRA Material Risk Taker rules. Responsibilities also included developing new lending propositions via contributions to governance papers, writing or assessing new credit policies and consistently looking to streamline processes or lead Credit/Risk restructure projects in line with business needs. Following the Global Financial Crisis I spent best part of a year seconded on a relieving basis to lead our distressed commercial real estate asset workout team of 52 colleagues across 3 locations with a book of £5Bn. I have also recently completed a 5 year term as Trustee/Director on the Board of a mid sized DB Pension Scheme and latterly also a member of the Scheme Investment Committee.
