During Sun's most explosive growth period, capacity increases and new product introduction became normal business. Meaning time and space were precious.Innovations included introduction of Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) into Operations for new products. The first product documentation containing digital images and online video. Created and implemented new design of product labelling for all Sun products to reduce scrap costs by 20% and improve serviceability.

Process EngineerSun Microsystems 1991 - 1994Started out improving processes to save space, time or cost. Managed factory layout on AutoCAD and ran simulations on Witness to validate process change. Key areas were raw material warehouse, through picking, assembly, test, pack and outbound supply. I had to define process improvements, justify then spend capital to meet large (20% per Q) capacity increases.Installed the most advanced auto-guided vehicle material handling system in UK using FROG Systems BV. Received my first email, built my first website, bought my first digital camera.
