The Director of the Longo Centre for Entrepreneurship (CfE) is accountable for ensuring that Longo CfE operations lead to the mobilization of fresh ideas, new technologies, and entrepreneurial training while at the same time preparing Humber students and graduates gain entrepreneurial thinking skills.Responsibilities include: - Leveraging existing and creating new internal and external strategic networks and partnerships which lead to the development, implementation, and delivery of a wide range of entrepreneurial projects and activities. - Strategic planning, organizing, and directing all phases of te Longo CfE programs.- Program and staff management, fiscal management and budgeting, marketing for the Longo CfE.- Working with academic leaders to create an environment that supports interdisciplinary teaching and learning activity- Ensuring that the Longo CfE activities align with and support the achievement of the program curriculum and experiential learning outcomes.

The LaunchPad program is the flagship program of the Schlegel Centre, a campus-linked accelerator that is open to current Laurier students and alumni who are looking for support in conceiving, launching, and building their entrepreneurial ventures.LaunchPad Brantford is located at the Community Innovation Hub offering participants a space to work on their venture and collaborate within the program and within the City of Brantford startup ecosystem.Duties include but not limited to: • Developing a program that maintains a positive leadership position and reputation within the City of Brantford and the broader Toronto-Waterloo corridor ecosystem and with current and prospective participants. • Facilitate workshops, events, hackathons, conferences, festivals, or other initiatives that fall within the Centre’s entrepreneurship and social innovation ecosystem to foster a culture of collaboration among the LaunchPad participants and other players within the entrepreneurial ecosystem.• Implement operations of the new venture incubation program, delivering on provincial and federal requirements for campus-linked accelerators as contingent with the expansion and scaling of Schlegel Centre activities in Brantford.

Acted as an innovative leader and entrepreneurial thinker who is ready to engage, amplify and grow the start-up and scale-up community in the rapidly expanding City of Mississauga.Accomplishments included:1) Piloted and launched the IDEA Step-Up Program to prepare early-stage innovative companies for scaling their businesses in the Life Sciences, Advanced Manufacturing, and Tech sectors.2) Secured sponsorship to support the development and operations of the IDEA Square One Innovation Hub.3) Raised awareness and developed reputation of the City of Mississauga as a destination for entrepreneurship & innovation through conferences such as Collision, USASBE, 3E, CCSBE, and EDCO.4) Acted as a thought leader in entrepreneurship & innovation to support wider economic development strategies and team initiatives.

The Campus Entrepreneurship Lead develops and oversees the operations of Davis campus activities of EDGE, an entrepreneurship hub and incubator at Sheridan designed for entrepreneurs and changemakers from all walks of life who are looking to gain entrepreneurial skills and to launch new ventures.Duties include: 1) Providing leadership and direction to the team (full time, student staff, and volunteers)2) Mentoring, educating, and developing faculty, staff, and students on entrepreneurship and helping address the challenges in commercializing research/early stage technology.3) Building relationships with various stakeholders such as municipal government, business support centres, and local businesses to advance objectives of Sheridan College and the Brampton Innovation District.

Housed within Centre for Business and Student Enterprise (CBaSE), The Hub is a new- venture business incubator designed to support early-stage business ideas with high-potential, but unproven business models. The goal of The Hub is to provide University of Guelph students and recent alumni the opportunity to build a successful business enterprise in a supportive learning environment. As a new-business incubator, The Hub was established to help teams and/or individuals discover, validate, and launch their business ideas. The Business Incubator Services Manager works as part of the CBaSE team to deliver entrepreneurial learning programs and services to Hub participants
