I have developed a career centered around strategic planning, communication, and negotiation. I am currently the Chief Commercial Officer for Photon Vault Inc., a developer of revolutionary thermal energy storage technology for the utility-scale market.Beginning as a corporate and securities lawyer with Sullivan & Cromwell in New York and Melbourne, Australia, I gained foundational experience practicing at the leading edge of cross border securities, M&A, and capital markets areas alongside some of the most talented and creative attorneys I have ever known. My next experience was in the Legal Department of Forest Oil Corporation, where I shared the operations portfolio with the Deputy General Counsel. During this time I advised Forest on over $4Bn in acquisitions and divestitures, as well as negotiating dozens of leases, drilling contracts, commercial banking and ISDA agreements and oil and gas product marketing agreements.In 2009, I moved to Cape Town to manage the commercial aspects of Forest's international subsidiary, with responsibility for assets in South Africa and Italy. As Commercial Director, I gained detailed knowledge of the local gas and electricity markets in S Africa with a goal of establishing a major gas-to-power project along the South African west coast, the Ibhubesi Gas Project. In 2013, I moved to Norwich, Vermont and began my career as a serial entrepreneur. I have been partial owner of one of the best artisanal gelato shops in the USA (Morano Gelato), a successful bottle redemption shop in Brattleboro, VT, and my own energy investment firm and consultancy, Wisdom & Power. I have helped to develop two solar energy developers, Norwich Solar Technologies and New Energy Equity.At New Energy Equity, I was employee #8 and was a part of the Executive Management Team for over 5 years throughout our aggressive growth period when we became a national leader in the development of Commercial & Industrial scale solar energy projects. New Energy Equity was acquired by Allete in May of 2022, following which I joined my friend Kent McCormick in the launch of Photon Vault.I live in Norwich, VT, where I have served in leadership positions in my local government and church and am active when I can be in the local theater community.
