My work as a corporate generalist, IP counsel, and registered patent attorney for foreign-based multinational companies and top-rated law firms has allowed me to leverage a dual role as a legal advisor and business strategist to assist in corporate legal functions, handle sophisticated IP matters, assess and communicate risk, and advise on commercial operations for executive teams and stakeholders in the informational technology and services industry.Through my combined experience in general corporate matters and specialized expertise in intellectual property, I support global business objectives strategic while additionally providing oversight of global patent and trademark portfolios, trade secrets, and other intellectual property. I represent clients in mergers, acquisitions, licenses, and collaborate on commercial matters. This requires me to build relationships with different business segments (sales, marketing, legal) and technical teams (engineering) to develop cost-effective strategies that ensure cost-effective legal spend and implement stronger policy protection. Additionally, I engage in and supervise patent application filing and prosecution, patent litigation, licensing, and due diligence. I am passionate about partnering with inventors, innovators, and creative professionals to help them secure their legal rights and protect their ownership interests through patents, trademarks, and copyrights.My approach to business and law correlates well with my background in sports (lacrosse and soccer) as I weigh and balance decisions carefully, I strategize to see all sides and perspectives, and I emphasize open and transparent communication to keep everyone a part of the process and engaged. In my spare time, I serve on several non-profit boards, including Italia Lacrosse North America and the Italian-American Lacrosse Foundation.
