GD were one of five strategic partners in the ATLAS consortium supplying the UK Ministry of Defence (“MOD”) with a £2.5Bn telecoms infrastructure replacement programme (“DII/F”)• Established from “start up” the GD commercial office for the DII/F programme • Sourced and implemented multiple subcontracts to expedite GD’s 10 year £140M contract• GD Commercial lead in a complex 5 Partner (EDS, Fujitsu, EADs, Logica & GD) Consortium • Saved GD from potential claims for damages to the value of £50M• Following customer delays negotiated an exit strategy and financial settlement ensuring GD’s gross margin target was achieved in just 5 years

• Enforced improved performance for Vivista, the principle supplier for the Case and Custody programme by e.g. the use of Service Level agreements and strictly governed change control• Effected cost savings from Vivista using sub-contract competition, benchmarking and auditing• Executed a competitive tendering process for the provision of a 2nd outsourced Data Centre hence ensuring robust disaster recovery provisions were in place for PITO• Provided the commercial lead for three IT Procurement teams (staff of c.23) and managed a spend of £100M per annum

Expedited £1.5Bn CSC-led Prism Alliance ICT outsourced contract for the Royal Mail including:• Transitioning (staff, assets, contracts), improvement planning, technology refresh, sub-contract placement and performance management• Resolved outstanding contract issues with RMG and the two principal vendors BT and Xansa

• Drafted and negotiated a global Services Agreement to support SITA’s IT infrastructure (desktop PCs, printers, servers) across 185 sites in 55 countries resulting in a uniform service provision and a significant reduction in IT downtime across SITA’s global office locations

• Devised and conducted a competitive tender using PRINCE 2, ITIL principles and OGC’s Gateway Review process. The selected, Sherwood International, solution enabled the NPD to both realise cost savings and be more effective in tracking/monitoring an offender’s progress

• Supported the launch of 3G mobile by managing multiple vendor programmes including the outsourcing of 3’s global IT operations, CRM and ERP software, billing software, IT test tools, reporting tools and data intelligence; subcontract values were £ 50K to £10M +

• Effected the transfer of services and contract novations from the previous incumbent suppliers (ICL and Sema) to BT Syntegra including staff/assets/services provision transfers for the Department of Work & Pensions PFI/outsourced “Accord” programme, (total value c. £500M) • Tendered for and negotiated the award of a £20M bespoke turnkey contract for the design, build and maintenance of a Land Systems Reference centre at the MOD army base at Blandford

Convergys are the world’s leading telecoms customer care and billing outsourced provider• Created and established a contracts/legal function for Convergys’s EMEA operations• Created, negotiated and administered complex, high value contracts (ranging from £100K to £20M) with clients such as One2One, BT, Nortel, Cableuropa, Telewest, TMN and UPC• Conducted due diligence for the acquisitions of Xi Systems and Swift and expedited their integration into Convergys and the disposal of non-strategic products and services
