I work with health care throughout New England to mobilize their purchasing power and influence to support a regional food system that provides healthy food to all communities, builds community wealth, and protects the environment. I create and manage regional and national programs, participate in regional food system efforts with several partner groups, work individually and as a team, write articles for our magazines, website, and newsletters, and contribute to grant writing.

Founder of Boston's first commercial roof farm in the Seaport district of Boston. In 2017 Higher Ground began managing a second farm on the rooftop of a Boston Medical Center building. At BMC we grow food for their food service department and therapeutic food pantry, and utilize the farm to enhance BMC's clinical work and teach patients and community members about growing food and healthy eating.

Six-month contractor position conducting research on food service management companies to identify leverage points for increasing procurement of local foods by institutions. The research set the foundation for a toolkit for institutions to use in the bidding and contracting process with vendors to include stipulations on local food procurement.
