Working with the Microsoft "Visual Studio Industry Partner Program" as technical strategic liason between the VSIP team and partners developing and delivering tools and addins which enhance Visual Studio. I am also the manager of the SharePoint business support system for the team.

Led key Engineering Strategies for Microsoft's Research division. Led the specification, development, and delivery of specialized software, including Accelerator, which enables easy implementation of parallel processing algorithms in a heterogeneous computing environment, and Kinect SDK, which provides a Microsoft-supported environment for development of third-party applications on the Windows platform.• Delivered these novel product on time and within budget. Defined graphics development technology, features set, setup environment, and driver/flash memory interface requirements.• Enabled product to be adopted by more than 10,000 developers in various industries.

Drove a research agenda and collaboration plan which aligned Microsoft with the EU Framework program. This delivered research funding to EMIC of $3M annually as well and kept Microsoft business capabilities part of the EU technology agenda.Established defensible, formal fiscal planning for EMIC, enabling the Microsoft Finance team in Redmond to understand and appropriately budget for the business model which is unique among Microsoft business units.Secured corporate funding for a $1M expansion of EMIC facilities; negotiated lease and building contracts resulting in an expansion of the physical plant by 50%, supporting the headcount growth from 23 to 49.Presented and keynoted at conferences and workshops throughout the EU promoting Microsoft and EMIC in order to lay the groundwork to expand contacts and identify new funding and collaboration opportunities resulting in an additional $1M per year of research funding.Managed bi-directional communications with corporate offices and redefined corporate practices as necessary to align EMIC strategy with local constraints and practices.

Oversaw project planning, staffing, budgets, quality assurance, SDLCs, and project management life cycles.• Served as Scrum Master during the development of the ConferenceXP tool, an open-source videoconferencing platform for the Microsoft Tablet PC, designed to facilitate distance learning and multi-institutional instruction for the higher education sector.• Project managed the development of a key technology used in all Windows 95 box products.• Project Manager and Developer for the Windows 95 shipping TAPI and SAPI, which are still in use as core communications technologies to this day.• Earned Microsoft Gold Star Award and received 3 patents in heterogeneous computing.• Improved efficiency by creating a project management website for engineering teams.

Taught an introduction to computer programmimg which was one of the required classes for an MBA at the Foster School of Management, routinely getting very high ratings from students. Having students learn a new skill and watching them apply that skill with real results is awesome.

Managed the implementation of desktop computing systems, including NeXT, DEC Workstations, Apple Macintosh and IBM PC's for the University college of Engineering.Designed, deployed and maintained the voice and data network system for 10,000 voice/data devices renewing the University data access capabilities.
