Key Responsibilities Include;• Carries out monthly visits to all Irish, UK and Polish sites to inspect general operations – liaising with production teams to ensure products are prepared in line with customer specifications, whilst simultaneously maximising yield and keeping within cost parameters.• Actively engages with Production Teams & Sales Managers on a daily basis, using exceptional communication skills to maintain strong working relations - ensuring the delivery of best practice & operational excellence throughout.• Accurately carries out regular costings, ensuring customer price/kg match the SLAs. Also, establishes product yield targets in each factory & strategically monitors weekly yield sheets to ensure all metrics are achieved. • Ensures that all operations strictly comply with all internal and external policies & procedures, including; internal audit processes; GMP; ISO standards and Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality procedures.• Actively promotes the sharing of knowledge and ideas between all sites to identify areas requiring improvement and introduce Lean procedures and strategic changes that would improve processes.

Key Responsibilities Included;• Visited sites and worked with the production teams to ensure that all ROI sites were producing Offal products to spec, whilst maximising yield.• Introduced a variety of process improvements to maximise resources and improve output levels.• Assisted in the development of an Abattoir Training Plan for each site, so that multiple people were trained up for all the various jobs along the line – ensuring adequate cover holidays etc. and avoiding any possible downtime.

Key Responsibilities Included;• Assisted the Production Manager in general operations including, problem solving, directing the team and providing training to new staff.• Implemented a variety of cost saving measures including the introduction of water metres to the tripe washing/polishing systems across all sites which resulted in significant annual savings on site. This was subsequently rolled out across all sites.

Received a vast amount of training including;• Training for Abattoir Production Manager Role• Working at line speed in most of the abattoir jobs.• Working in the Boning hall on the line learning various boning and trimming jobs (1 Year).• Training in the Lairage (6 Weeks)Also, chosen to travel to England on behalf of ABP Ireland to oversee the three month ASDA Christmas joint promotion in 2012.
