John Lucas was the Chief Growth Officer of DDB Group Philippines (DDB, Tribal Worldwide, Agile Intelligence, Ripple8 PR, Touch XDA). Prior to this appointment, John was the Group Managing Director of DDB Philippines and Tribal Worldwide. John has over 25 years of experience in Branding, Marketing, Digital, Social, Public Relations, Media, Product Development and Launch, Events and Activation. He has worked for brands from the FMCG, Food, QSR, Banking, Technology, Telecommunications and Healthcare industries.He moved to DDB Group Philippines in 2008 to set up and to open Tribal DDB Philippines. John led his young digital team in creating innovative digital campaigns for Smart Communications, PLDT-Smart Foundation, United Laboratories, Maybelline. He also worked with the regional Tribal DDB-RADAR team (social media consultancy) for the development of Smart Communication’s social media strategy and programs. John also led DDB Philippines in winning the pitch for the Jollibee Food Corporation-Mang Inasal account. The campaigns developed by the agency successfully helped the brand established double-digit growth for 36 months, a record in Jollibee Food Corporation. John’s experience in advertising and branding was developed from stints in FCB, Batey Ads, Image Dimensions and PAC/BBDO. John’s biggest achievement to date is being part of Team Philippines that won the bid for the hosting of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023. He worked closely with Samahang Basketbol Ng Pilipinas (SBP) and led DDB Group Philippines in creating the bid’s vision, strategy, campaign, bid kits and presentations.John is currently a board director of the Association of Accredited Advertising Agencies of the Philippines (4As). He is the director for programs and sports. This is his second term as 4As board director. He was also elected to serve the industry in 2012-2014. He is also a panelist for the Advertising Standard Council of the Philippines (ASC).
