Grew and directed team of 40 directs and an overall org size of 85 engineers accountable for the AlwaysOn mission building on a highly complex codebase consisting of more than four million lines of code and hundreds of complex features.• AlwaysOn became the primary driver of new and upgraded sales starting with SQL Server 2012 and subsequent product cycles becoming the foundation for growing revenue to more than $7+ billion in the Relational Database market.• Directed team from initial requirements through multiple releases of AlwaysOn including feature set definition, product architecture, project management, code quality and team management. When AlwaysOn shipped it was quickly adopted by key Microsoft enterpriser customers. • Drove a layered architecture between Azure SQL and the Enterprise SQL HA/DR technology stack allowing for maximum code reuse for both the enterprise produce and the service. This shared investment in the critical portion of the HA stack increased the confidence in the quality of the product and speed to market of the Azure SQL Service.
