My interests are in the welfare of people in my community primarily in disability opportunities, taxation and economic development. I have served as a board member of several city reformation groups as well as church committees. In November of 2014, 2016 and again in 2018 I was elected to the Wisconsin State Assembly where I represent the residents of Wisconsin's 88th district and serve the state as Chairman of the Ways and Means committee, Vice Chairman of the Joint Audit Committee, as well as several other assignments. April of 2017 I was appointed Assembly Chairman of the Joint Special Committee on Tax Reform. In 2017 I was appointed to the Attorney Generals special comitee on elder financial abuse. In 2020 I was appointed co-chairman of the Budget and Revenue committee, as well co-chairman of the State And Local Tax task-force for the National Council of State Legislators. In 2020 I was appointed to the Governors special task force on retirement planning. I am a retired founder of Macco's Floor Covering Centers, Inc, now owned by my brothers. I am retired founder of the Macco Financial Group, Inc now owned by our son Mike. I am a consultant to Southtree, Inc, a 2016 INC500 fastest growing company, owned by our son Nick. Together with over 500 employees throughout Wisconsin, Tennessee and Florida and customers in all 50 states. I have been married to my wife, Sue, for 41 years. We have two children and six grandchildren.I am a motorcycle enthusiast, IFR private pilot, certified SCUBA diver and former member of the National Ski Patrol.
