As Vice President, Connections Executive Director at Wray Ward, I was responsible for leading the strategic direction of the agency’s Connections team, which consists of our Integrated Marketing Communications Strategy, Public Relations, Content Marketing, Social Media, CRM and Marketing Automation, Integrated Media Strategy, Performance Media and Search Marketing, and Performance and Analytics teams. I brought to this position an expertise in understanding how audiences consume information across diverse mediums and how brands can build enduring relationships with customers, drive sales, and influence thinking and behavior across the consumer journey.I joined Wray Ward in 2006 as part of the public relations team. In 2012 I moved into a role as the director of content marketing, launching and growing the agency’s content marketing function and leading the creation of our in-house video production team. I moved to the role of Vice President, Connections Executive Director, in 2013.

As a senior media relations specialist in the National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion within the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), I was responsible for developing media relations strategy for public health studies and programs and media training Center leadership. A key part of my role was building relationships with national media in order to accurately communicate complicated issues to the public.

I began my career in Ogilvy Public Relation’s Technology Practice – then called Alexander Ogilvy. I worked primarily on brands in the home networking, software and enterprise networking and security industries. Whether working with start-ups or Fortune 500 companies, I managed client programs and executed media relations campaigns and secured speaking opportunities that grew brand, technology and executive awareness.
