Many were impedance controlled designs, containing high-speed signals, including Ethernet, SATA2 / SATA3, differential-pairs and ARINC interfaces.• Boards were primarily Surface Mount Technology, with some thru-hole parts and layer counts between 2 – 12 layers. Majority of boards were rigid board designs with a few blind and buried via board designs and rigid-flex boards.• Most PCB designs were for Avionics projects, including Video on Demand (VOD), In-Flight Entertainment, Ruggedized File Servers, Terminal Data Loaders and Wireless Access Points (WAP).• Board types included Controller / Processor boards, Power Supplies, Backplanes, I/O boards and PAC boards.• Was responsible for all things PCB Design related: participation in formal Design Reviews, creation of CAD library parts (footprint and schematic), PCB placement and supplied materials for and participated in formal PCB placement review, complete signal routing, Design Rule checking, produced all necessary fabrication and assembly documentation, generation of all PCB fabrication and assembly data outputs, compiled and transmitted PCB fabrication package to fabrication house.• Actively participated in ECO process.• Designed first corporate PCB to incorporate DDR2 memory, which functioned to full expectations on initial power-up, allowing project to move forward on schedule.• Created and maintained PCB Design Checklist used for all PCB designs, allowing designers to review each stage of design as it progressed and providing a more complete and accurate design.• Facilitated more accurate and reproducible PCB rework, by creating new PCB rework documentation process, which was produced more efficiently and was better understood by Manufacturing.Applications:Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerpointIndustry Standards:IPCCAD tools:Mentor Graphics Expedition, CES, Design Capture & DxDesignerAutoCad, Viewmate, Gerbtool & Cadnetix Show less
