I have been involved with all aspects of larger commercial developments in the Hartford and Connecticut areas for the past 30 years. My background is extensive including development, financing, common interest community documentation, the taxation of real and personal property, leasing, entitlements/permitting, and most other related topics. My projects have included such facilities as The Hartford’s campuses in Simsbury and Hartford, CIGNA’s former north campus facility, State House Square in Hartford, UBS’ corporate facility in Stamford, the Millstone Nuclear Power Plant, 55 Elm Street in Hartford, Evergreen Walk in South Windsor, Connecticut, and a multiple of big box retail locations throughout Connecticut. Because of this breadth of experience, I feel I am able to offer both technical expertise and practicality to the real estate process, combined with the efficiency of having been there before and the existence of a great team with whom I work.I personally enjoy the complexity and adventure of the development process as well as the ability to meet new people along the way. I am one of the few real estate professionals listed in Chambers USA for Connecticut and in 2014 I was designated a BTI Client Service All-Star, one of 9 US real estate lawyers and one of 330 attorneys in all areas of practice so designated. I am a member of several industry groups such as the International Council of Shopping Centers and CORENet. On a professional level, I have chaired the Real Estate group in each of Cummings & Lockwood and McCarter & English and have spoken at several industry conferences on a variety of topics involving real estate. My civic activities have included the Board of Directors of Horizons, Inc., the Board of Directors and founding president of The Connecticut Down Syndrome Congress, Inc., the Board of Directors and past president of The Connecticut Rivers Council, Boy Scouts of America, Inc., and the Board of Directors of The Hartford Ballet,Inc.
